This tool is used for editing photos with horizontal perspective distortion, where the horizontal lines are converging towards the left or right of the frame. This tool helps you correct the angle of the lines by spreading certain corners of the image, making the horizontal lines parallel rather than converging. This is great for straightening up horizons as shown below. So if you weren’t holding the camera completely level when taking your photo, you can easily straighten the image. With the Straighten Tool you can level the horizontal lines in an image by slightly rotating the photo.
